“The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword. If you would take a man's life, you owe it to him to look into his eyes and hear his final words. And if you cannot bear to do that, then perhaps the man does not deserve to die.”
Slow to start, and tough to keep up with all the characters introduced. But as I read more I loved it more. Then, as I really got into a character... (I won't spoil it for you - but maybe you get the point).
Great action intermixed with information to move the story. I really enjoyed this book. Plenty of cliffhangers that kept me reading late into the night.
Since writing this review I have watched the series, which was well done. But the book is every so much better, in my humble opinion.
