“If someone asks you how you are, you are meant to say FINE. You are not meant to say that you cried yourself to sleep last night because you hadn't spoken to another person for two consecutive days. FINE is what you say.”
I really enjoyed this book.
Warning; there are some dark themes. But not too dark.
This is a story about one woman's struggle to put her past behind her. But it's told with the quintessential British humor I so love. I've visited England many times. This book is spot on. Probably helps that the setting is Britain, and the author is from Scotland.
Not many books cause me to laugh out loud. This one did. Brilliant writing. I'm in awe that this is Gail Honeymoon's first book. Wow.
